Mechanical Installation Technician – USA Projects

About the role

IT8 is seeking a Mechanical Installation Technician to join its global engineering team, focusing on USA and international projects. You will install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble, maintain, and repair industrial mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment at project and customer sites.
• Install automated production equipment, conveyors, fixtures, tooling, and assembly‑line components per specifications.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
• Inspect, align, adjust, and test equipment to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Support installation, modification, and commissioning of automotive manufacturing and assembly‑line equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as required.
• Coordinate with electrical technicians, automation teams, engineers, and supervisors to meet safety and schedule requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial mechanical installation or equipment assembly.
• Hands‑on experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
• Degree or technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology or related field (preferred).
• Willingness to travel extensively across the United States and internationally.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Mechanical installation and machinery assembly.
• Alignment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Experience with automated production equipment, conveyors, fixtures, and tooling.
