Mechanical Engineer

About the role

A2H is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Franklin, TN office to lead design and project management for healthcare, commercial and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in marketing and business development, including proposal development and technical expertise.
• Research, develop and design equipment, facilities, components, products and systems.
• Manage all phases of mechanical engineering projects, from design development to construction documentation and administration.
• Coordinate project teams to ensure design intent is incorporated into construction documents and specifications.
• Prepare detailed plans and specifications supported by calculations and engineering solutions.
• Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software to perform tasks.
• Maintain effective communication with project team members and clients.
• Participate in cost development, scheduling and planning for assigned projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Tennessee.
• Minimum seven years of experience in mechanical engineering consulting.
• Extensive HVAC systems design experience and client interaction.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit and CAD software.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, building codes and construction methods.
• Experience with HVAC system design.
