Mechanical Engineer, Air Vehicles

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and integrate hardware on unmanned air vehicles, taking designs from concept through to production and supporting critical demonstrations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate hardware on unmanned air vehicles, owning designs from concept to real‑world use.
• Lead design reviews, run analyses, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans, and build prototypes.
• Analyze failures, transition successful projects into production, and support hardware demonstrations with customers.
• Travel to test sites as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience on advanced air‑vehicle programs.
• Experience integrating electrical and mechanical subsystems and designing mechanical parts using CAD.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods such as machining, sheet metal, composites, 3D printing, injection molding, and composite lamination.
• BS or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering and eligibility for a U.S. Secret clearance.
