Mechanical Assembly Production Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Assembly Production Engineer to drive precision builds in a semiconductor clean‑room environment. You will develop, optimise and sustain assembly processes that deliver high‑quality, repeatable production of equipment and sub‑assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and maintain mechanical assembly processes, work instructions, torque specifications and standards.
• Implement Lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement initiatives within clean‑room operations.
• Provide hands‑on engineering support to assembly teams, troubleshoot issues and lead corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions by transitioning designs into stable production processes.
• Evaluate tooling, fixtures and equipment to improve ergonomics, repeatability and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, ESD controls and clean‑room contamination protocols.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply‑chain and production teams on DFM reviews, ECOs and change requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing engineering or semiconductor equipment production.
• Strong understanding of precision assembly, torque‑controlled fastening and contamination control.
• Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T and BOMs.
