Mechanic II - Frac

About the role

Lewis Energy Group, a vertically integrated exploration and production company and leading natural gas producer in South Texas, is hiring a Mechanic II - Frac in Encinal, TX. The role involves diagnosing and performing complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs on company assets, including DOT and Completions Services equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on DOT and Completions Services equipment according to company standards and timelines
• Document maintenance activities, failures and repairs accurately in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Identify, order and replace parts and equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment issues
• Inspect tools and equipment routinely, keeping them clean and functional
• Support and assist lower-level mechanics in completing repairs and maintenance tasks

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational certificate preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of related mechanical experience in equipment maintenance and repair
• Valid driver's license required; DOT license preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer use
• Familiarity with RTA Fleet Management software preferred
• Strong communication and time management skills, ability to work under pressure and solve complex problems
