About the role

The Mathematics Adjunct Instructor (A&S) will deliver credit‑bearing mathematics courses for West Georgia Technical College. This part‑time position involves preparing lesson plans, creating standardized syllabi, and assessing student progress in a classroom, lab, or online environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans and standardized course syllabi using provided templates.
• Teach mathematics theory and practical applications in classroom, lab, field, or distance‑learning settings.
• Evaluate student performance against established grading criteria and submit outcomes to the department chair.
• Maintain required documentation, administrative reports, and participate in professional development.
• Measure program learning outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related discipline with at least 18 credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population.

Required skills

• Strong computer proficiency.
