Math Teacher (Algebra II/III) – Full-Time

About the role

Jefferson RISE Charter School is seeking a highly effective Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year to deliver rigorous, standards‑aligned instruction to grades 6‑12. The role involves building strong relationships with students and families while contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver structured Tier I instruction using evidence‑based strategies and differentiate to ensure all students access rigorous, grade‑level content.
• Monitor student understanding, use assessment data to identify gaps, and adjust instruction in real time.
• Maintain clear classroom routines, uphold high academic and behavioral expectations, and provide specific feedback tied to learning targets.
• Collaborate with grade‑level and content teams, implement IEPs/BIPs, participate in PLCs, and communicate proactively with families.
• Dedicate one afternoon per week to after‑school tutoring and pursue professional development opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (content‑area degree preferred) and content‑area certification preferred.
• Demonstrated record of measurable student achievement and growth.
• Strong command of Tier I instructional practices and data‑driven decision making.
• Commitment to high expectations for every student and collaborative, accountable work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
