Math Instructional Coach (2026-2027 School Year)

About the role

The Math Instructional Coach will improve student achievement by developing highly effective Math teachers and teaching Math classes for roughly half of the school day. Reporting to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, the coach will supervise 6‑8 teachers, lead PLCs, and model best instructional practices.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and evaluate 6‑8 Math teachers through weekly meetings, classroom observations, and formal evaluations.
• Plan and facilitate weekly Math PLC meetings, analyze student work and assessment data, and design professional development.
• Ensure high‑quality implementation of the Tier 1 Math curriculum, support lesson planning, assessment design, and intervention planning.
• Teach Math courses for approximately 50% of the instructional day and maintain exemplary classroom results.
• Participate in instructional leadership team meetings, support hiring, onboarding, and communicate with families as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and minimum two years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Demonstrated record of improving student achievement and strong instructional planning, assessment, and data‑analysis skills.
• Ability to coach, influence, and develop adult learners with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Preferred: Master's degree, teaching certification, and prior experience as an instructional coach or teacher‑leadership role.

• Competitive annual salary range of $60,000 – $80,000 based on degree, certification, experience, and outcomes.
