About the role

Join Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science, as a Materials Project Manager. You will drive engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to deliver innovative semiconductor solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing needs to suppliers.
• Perform make‑versus‑buy analysis and support outsourcing decisions.
• Lead the Materials Core Team, coordinating product development deliverables across buyers, planners, and production control.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, delivery terms, and contracts while monitoring performance.
• Manage materials change control, cost objectives, and quality issue resolution.
• Generate and publish key process indicators and track total landed cost targets.

Required profile

• Demonstrates depth or breadth of expertise in a specialized discipline related to materials engineering.
• Experience leading functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to address complex supplier and quality challenges.
