Material Review Board Attendant

About the role

The Material Review Board (MRB) Attendant ensures that non‑conforming materials are properly identified, isolated, and documented to maintain product quality and compliance. Working on the shop floor, you will support engineering and production teams in evaluating and dispositioning defective components.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, tag, and segregate non‑conforming materials according to quality procedures.
• Maintain controlled MRB/quarantine areas to prevent unintended use of defective parts.
• Accurately record non‑conforming material data in ERP/QMS systems such as SAP.
• Ensure full traceability of parts, including serial numbers and lot numbers.
• Coordinate with engineering and production for MRB evaluations.
• Execute MRB dispositions (scrap, rework, repair, use‑as‑is).
• Keep work areas audit‑ready and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred).
• Experience in manufacturing or quality control is a plus.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP.
