Master Clinical Application Analyst

About the role

The Master Clinical Application Analyst supports EMR services, primarily the Epic Beacon system, within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Working with minimal supervision, the analyst ensures system integrity, efficiency, and compliance while leading a team of analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead configuration, maintenance, testing, and optimization of assigned Epic applications.
• Partner with users, IT teams, and vendors to define workflows, develop solutions, and communicate system changes.
• Drive troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of complex system issues.
• Oversee application integration, security, and production changes to support data integrity and clinical operations.
• Provide mentorship, workload management, and performance feedback to analyst team members.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in computer science, nursing, or related healthcare field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of application systems development and testing, including at least 2 years in a healthcare delivery setting.
• 1+ year of experience managing processes or applications.
• Epic Beacon certification per IT Epic Certification Policy.

Required skills

• Epic Beacon application expertise.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Professional suite.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
