Marketing Services Representative

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Marketing Services Representative for its Downers Grove, Illinois office. The role supports sales representatives or account management personnel in prospecting, acquiring or renewing business, with duties varying by market and type of role. It is hybrid: three days a week in the office and two days a week remote.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales or account management personnel in prospecting, acquiring or renewing business, and research inquiries from customers, brokers or company representatives.
• Build relationships with customer representatives and brokers, and relay information to sales or account management personnel.
• Coordinate meetings, gather data and create or maintain databases.
• Take part in enrollments, prepare materials for enrollment sessions and review forms for completeness.
• Prepare documentation for prospective or existing customers, and may respond to questions from prospects about benefit information and options.
• Gather information for RFPs, prepare or implement new accounts or renewals, resolve customer issues, and may travel to customer sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in health insurance, health care, service, sales or marketing, or 5 years of experience in health care management or sales/marketing, or 5 years in claims/provider service.
• State insurance license or ability to obtain one within the required time frame.
• Organizational and decision-making skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
• Ability to interact professionally with internal and external contacts.

What we offer

• Base pay range of $47,500 to $86,000, which varies with skills, experience and location.
