Market Expansion Manager

About the role

Rain is a global stablecoin payments platform seeking a Market Expansion Manager to lead the launch of local financial products in new geographies. You will spend significant time on‑site in target markets, own end‑to‑end market launches, and build local teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute operationalization strategies for each market, coordinating legal, compliance, product, and go‑to‑market workstreams.
• Drive a 100‑day launch plan, identify and remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery across ~12 cross‑functional capabilities.
• Hire and onboard key local roles such as country leads and their initial team members.
• Manage regulatory and licensing processes, detecting gaps before they become issues.
• Maintain and improve the market‑launch playbook for future expansions.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in strategy consulting, private‑equity operations, or an operating role within a regulated fintech or payments business.
• Strong communication skills, able to produce high‑quality formal documents and represent the company in high‑stakes meetings.
• Proven project‑management ability to drive complex, cross‑functional initiatives to completion.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to travel extensively to launch products and solve on‑the‑ground problems.

Required skills

• Experience navigating regulatory approval processes for financial services.
• Understanding of payments, card issuing, e‑money, or banking ecosystems.
• Familiarity with stablecoins, on‑chain technology, and digital‑asset regulations.
