About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Manufacturing/Production Manager to lead a team of production employees in Benicia, CA. The role involves supervising daily operations, ensuring safety, and driving continuous improvement in a high‑tech semiconductor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, motivate, develop and train production staff, assigning work and setting priorities.
• Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Lead operational meetings, establish process consistency, and align tactical and strategic plans.
• Develop and track performance metrics to improve cycle‑time and quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health policies and document training.
• Manage hiring, performance management, employee development, and disciplinary processes.
• Analyze capacity, implement process improvements, and drive Lean, Safety and Quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Ability to work standing for extended periods, in tight spaces, and handle clean‑room PPE.
• Strong communication skills to convey cross‑functional issues and present technical information.
• Understanding of Applied Materials’ global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical expectations.
