Managing Strategist, Paid Media (Temporary)

About the role

Authentic seeks a Temporary Managing Strategist to lead its Paid Media department through the current election cycle. This remote, full‑time position reports to the Director of Paid Media and offers a $90,000 annual salary.

Key responsibilities

• Lead advertising strategy for numerous large clients, collaborating with client leads, managers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Manage department staff, conduct performance reviews, recommend raises, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
• Develop best‑practice ad copy, innovative campaign ideas, and ensure content reflects each client’s authentic voice.
• Set up, track, and optimize ads across Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, Switchboard, Scale to Win, and other platforms.
• Produce professional memos, internal and external reports, and maintain client communications.
• Respond rapidly to breaking news with real‑time ad drafts and stay current on digital trends.

Required profile

• Passion for electing Democratic candidates and advancing progressive values.
• Proven experience managing large‑scale digital advertising programs and teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to detail, self‑education, and a safe, diverse workplace.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Facebook Ads and Google Ads platforms.
• Experience with texting platforms such as Switchboard and Scale to Win.
• Familiarity with CRMs like NGP and ActionKit.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and data‑driven reporting.
