Senior SEO Strategist (Remote)

About the role

A U.S.-based digital marketing team that works with clients across many industries is looking for an experienced Senior SEO Strategist. The role combines technical SEO, content strategy and AI-driven search optimization to help clients improve their online visibility and grow. It is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies tailored to each client's objectives.
• Run technical SEO audits and turn findings into clear action plans.
• Perform keyword research, search intent analysis, semantic clustering and content strategy work.
• Optimize sites for traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences, using structured data, schema markup and entity optimization.
• Analyze competitors in both traditional and AI-generated search results.
• Build backlink acquisition strategies and support digital PR.
• Work with content, UX and development teams to improve site performance and conversions.
• Take part in discovery sessions, proposal writing and strategic advice, and prepare executive reports linking SEO results to business outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in an SEO agency setting, with proven results in organic rankings, traffic and search performance.
• Experience managing several client accounts and presenting strategic recommendations.
• Advanced English; Spanish is required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Required skills

• Technical SEO: Core Web Vitals, schema markup, crawl/index management and structured data.
• SEO tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush or Screaming Frog.
• Familiarity with GEO and modern SEO best practices.
