Manager, Treasury Controllership, Digital Assets

About the role

The Manager, Treasury Controllership will support Mastercard’s Corporate Treasury activities, focusing on blockchain, digital payments, crypto assets and related initiatives. The role partners with Controllership, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Finance and shared services to ensure accurate accounting, reporting and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accounting advisory for treasury‑enabled initiatives, including blockchain, crypto assets and fiat‑backed stablecoins.
• Evaluate accounting and reporting implications of new operating models, custodial arrangements and fair‑value measurement.
• Prepare technical accounting assessments, position memos and support senior‑level discussions.
• Serve as escalation point for internal control, SOX compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen controls, improve documentation and identify automation opportunities.
• Coordinate with external auditors on U.S. GAAP application for complex transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CPA or CA designation.
• Experience in public accounting or technical accounting within a large public company.
• Strong research skills in FASB, SEC and internal policy guidance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 to $207,000 USD.
