Manager, Research Compliance

About the role

The Manager of Research Compliance supports ethical animal use in research, teaching, and testing at Texas A&M University. Working closely with the Director, you will lead compliance operations, oversee investigations, and provide guidance to researchers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage post‑approval compliance, including IACUC inspections, audits, and oversight of animal facilities.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on federal regulations, conduct investigations, and develop training for investigators and IACUC members.
• Maintain liaison with external agencies and university units to ensure adherence to federal, institutional, and accreditation requirements.
• Develop and maintain compliance documentation, data collection tools, and business practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least six years of experience in IACUC or research compliance, including one year applying federal animal‑use regulations.
• High ethical standards, strong communication skills, and ability to develop short‑ and long‑term goals.

Required skills

• Knowledge of federal animal‑use regulations and IACUC processes.
• Experience with AAALAC accreditation and triennial reaccreditation.
• Project management or supervisory experience.
