Manager of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships

About the role

The Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) is seeking a Manager of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships to lead the expansion of workforce development, industry engagement, and revenue‑generating initiatives. Reporting to senior leadership, the manager will act as a strategic liaison among private industry, government agencies, educational institutions, and economic development partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies that grow workforce training, technical services, sponsored projects, and industry engagement.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities with private industry, government entities, workforce boards, and educational partners.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research and industry analysis to uncover emerging trends, workforce demands, and strategic opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership activities with TEES’s mission and revenue goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with industry, government, and academic partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in market research and industry analysis.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
