Manager, Manufacturing Finance

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Finance to support the financial management of its plant and manufacturing operations in Houston. The role focuses on performance analysis, cost tracking, inventory management, and capital expenditure support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial reports for plant/manufacturing operations.
• Conduct variance analysis for sales, cost of goods sold, and working capital.
• Coordinate the strategic plan, annual budget, and monthly forecast processes.
• Analyze inventory trends and cost of goods sold.
• Support capital appropriation requests and assess financial risks.
• Develop action plans to address financial variances and improve efficiency.
• Assist with monthly accruals, general ledger maintenance, and financial controls.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects to drive operational improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of relevant finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with BI tools.
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Professional designation such as CPA or CMA preferred.
