Manager, Business Development - Platform Partnerships

About the role

Mastercard Services is seeking a quota‑carrying Business Development Manager to lead the growth of strategic platform partnerships. The role focuses on acquiring new business through ecosystem partners such as payment service providers, acquirers, issuers, gateways and other technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and secure strategic partnership opportunities across Mid‑Market and Emerging Enterprise accounts.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of platform providers, driving revenue growth and market distribution for Mastercard Services solutions.
• Develop compelling joint value propositions, negotiate complex agreements and manage the full partner lifecycle from prospecting to launch.
• Collaborate with regional teams, ensuring alignment across time zones and market segments.
• Track and report on pipeline creation, new‑business generation and long‑term revenue outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quota‑carrying, revenue‑producing business development or sales roles.
• Strong ability to build executive relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify commercial opportunities and build business cases.
• Demonstrated success negotiating and closing strategic partnership agreements.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment with global collaboration.

Required skills

• Experience with platform partnership ecosystems (e.g., payment service providers, gateways, fraud solutions).
• Knowledge of digital payments, fintech and open finance landscapes.
