Make Ready Specialist

About the role

Greystar, a global real estate platform focused on institutional-quality rental housing, is hiring a Make Ready Specialist in Corazon. The role prepares vacant apartment homes to market-ready condition so they can be re-leased, following the community's make-ready checklist and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete repairs and improvements to apartment homes before resident move-in, following the community's make-ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair or replace it.
• Perform touch-up paint on vacant and occupied units as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities: pick up trash and debris, pressure-wash breezeways and pool areas, clean generally, and paint curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials and tools efficiently.
• Complete the make-ready checklist and other maintenance documentation on time.
• Follow safety policies: attend safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents promptly.
• Treat residents with respect, answer questions, respond sensitively to complaints and complete work orders efficiently.

Required profile

• Able to stand, walk or sit for long periods and to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined spaces.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather, and to lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help.
• Rare or regular travel may be required to support other properties, training or meetings.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including call duty on evenings, weekends and holidays.

What we offer

• Hourly pay of $19.00 - $21.00, with possible weekly, monthly or quarterly bonuses depending on whether the role is corporate or onsite.
