Maintenance Technician – The Crossing at Palm Aire

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of The Crossings at Palm Aire meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑cutting initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs in accordance with safety standards and code requirements.
• Experience with the make‑ready process for residential units, including coordination with vendors and contractors.
• Strong inventory management skills, ensuring tools and supplies are accounted for and reordered as needed.
• Attention to detail in documentation and completion of service requests.
• Willingness to perform grounds upkeep, pressure‑washing, cleaning, and painting tasks.
• Commitment to following safety policies and participating in safety meetings.
