Maintenance Technician – Solstice at Eastland Yards

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Solstice at Eastland Yards – a garden‑style, lease‑up community – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking inventory and documentation.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
