Maintenance Technician – Massachusetts Court

About the role
The Maintenance Technician ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports resident satisfaction through timely repairs, preventative maintenance and make‑ready preparation for new move‑ins.
Key responsibilities
- Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
- Execute the make‑ready process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
- Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
- Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
- Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.
Required profile
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
- Required licenses and certifications: EPA Type 1 & II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification, any state/local certifications applicable to service technicians, and a valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where needed.
