Maintenance Technician - Semiconductor Fab (Etch)

About the role

NXP is hiring a maintenance technician for its semiconductor manufacturing equipment in Chandler, Arizona. The role covers rebuilding and cleaning subassemblies, preventative maintenance and supporting the fab's equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Rebuild and clean subassemblies for semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) tasks
• Follow and continuously improve WSS documents
• Complete post-maintenance qualifications and checks
• Support subfab equipment and chemical handling
• Ensure an adequate supply of consumables for rebuilding subassemblies

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Detail-oriented, able to write and follow written procedures
• Understanding of electronic, mechanical and vacuum systems
• Strong verbal and written communication, professional in a fast-paced production environment
• Knowledge of 5S principles and experience keeping a 5S organization in maintenance or parts management
• 2-3 years of equipment maintenance or parts management is advantageous; 3-5 years of wafer fab experience focused on production equipment preferred
