Maintenance Technician – Sandbar Property

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the Sandbar property’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports both resident service requests and preventative upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures for apartment turnover.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and paperwork.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
