Maintenance Technician – Rye Charlotte Ave

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a mid‑rise, lease‑up property. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the building, grounds, amenities and common areas safe, functional and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and technical issues in a residential property setting.
• Experience with make‑ready processes, including inspections, vendor coordination and final unit preparation.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
• Willingness to perform general grounds upkeep and cleaning tasks.
• Commitment to safety procedures and cost‑effective maintenance practices.
