Maintenance Technician – R3

About the role

The Maintenance Technician – R3 ensures that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, repairs and final inspections.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, track usage and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in residential property.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Flexibility to take on‑call duties during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on larger properties).
