Maintenance Technician – The Flats at East Bank

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This full‑time position supports resident requests, prepares vacant units for new occupants and assists with routine property upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Willingness to be on‑call during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
