Maintenance Technician – Property Maintenance

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure that the physical aspects of its properties in Washington meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will work on resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to work orders generated from resident requests and perform diagnostic repairs in line with safety and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures, safety policies, and regulatory standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with residents, vendors, and supervisors.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and lift equipment safely.
