Maintenance Technician – Louis at 14th

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Louis at 14th property in Washington. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Adherence to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in routine safety meetings.
• Ability to follow established procedures for work order completion, inventory handling and documentation.
• Willingness to perform a variety of maintenance tasks across building systems and common areas.
