Maintenance Technician - Floating

About the role

Greystar is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support a portfolio of communities throughout the greater Charlotte region. This permanent floating position requires traveling between sites to ensure buildings, grounds, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by retrieving supplies and tools, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts whenever possible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• Reliable personal transportation and the ability to travel across multiple Charlotte locations.
• Ability to follow established policies, safety procedures, and regulatory codes.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Willingness to work independently and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
