Maintenance Technician – East Mint (Charlotte, NC)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the East Mint property in Charlotte, NC remains safe, functional, and presentable for residents and guests. This role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to perform a variety of mechanical and technical tasks safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality of work.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
• Good organizational skills for inventory management and vendor coordination.
