Maintenance Technician – Cherry Knoll

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical components of the Cherry Knoll property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. This role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and making repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing repairs, and inspecting finished work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical or technical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience handling work orders, inventory tracking, and detailed documentation.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely completion of tasks.
• Attention to detail when preparing units for new occupants and maintaining common areas.
• Commitment to following safety and risk‑management policies.
