Maintenance Technician - Aqua at Sandy Springs

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time position works on a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Willingness to be on call during evenings, weekends, and holidays and to travel occasionally to other properties.
• Compliance with Greystar safety policies, including OSHA training and incident reporting.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• EPA Type 2 or Universal refrigerant certification.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
