Maintenance Technician – All Levels (I, II, III)

About the role

Join the maintenance team at Ohana Military Communities in Kailua, HI, providing essential upkeep for rental housing. The role supports both routine and emergency repairs across a variety of building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to service requests for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, water heaters, and solar equipment.
• Perform skilled work in one or more trades, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, and locksmith tasks.
• Maintain and safely operate tools such as gauges, Freon recovery systems, snakes, and drills.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules for heating and ventilation systems.
• Prepare vacated units for new occupants: painting, sanding, tile work, drywall repair, fixture replacement, floor stripping, waxing, polishing, and window repair.
• Handle emergency situations like sewage backups, water main breaks, fire damage, and weather‑related repairs.
• Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected promptly and maintain reliable attendance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED with advanced training, certification, journeyman license, or equivalent experience in building maintenance.
• Experience in at least one skilled trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use a company or personal vehicle for work.
• Commitment to safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
