Maintenance Supervisor – Roving (Portland, OR)

About the role

The Greystar Roving Flex Team supports multiple communities across the Portland metro area. As a Maintenance Supervisor you will travel between properties, handling work orders, make‑ready projects and ensuring high standards of safety and appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage resident service work orders, diagnose issues and perform repairs following policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversee the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply ordering and final quality checks.
• Develop and maintain cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, amenities, building exteriors, common areas and signage.
• Inspect work performed by service team members, contractors and vendors, and create corrective action plans as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, ordering supplies within budget guidelines.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance tasks and conduct safety meetings, ensuring MSDS sheets are current and OSHA requirements are met.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to treat residents respectfully and respond promptly to maintenance inquiries.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and adapt to varying property types and staffing needs.
• Commitment to cost‑control practices, such as repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.

Required skills

• Hands‑on maintenance and repair expertise across residential property systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, MSDS documentation and OSHA standards.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors and managing inventory.
