Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

Givaudan is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor in Cincinnati, Ohio, reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager. You will plan, organize and implement activities that support manufacturing strategy, and take part in defining, developing and implementing capital improvements for building utilities, manufacturing processes and associated equipment. The expected salary is $90,000-$115,000 depending on technical experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute the maintenance plan and strategy, delivering reliability and on-time execution, and provide input to local maintenance goals such as production capacity, critical maintenance schedules, equipment changes, spare parts and inventory.
• Develop a maintenance strategy based on equipment criticality (ABC) and build functional strategies through operational plans.
• Lead a team of maintenance specialists for a specific process area or technology, assign daily tasks and projects according to skill sets and urgency, and discuss maintenance issues and delegate tasks.
• Apply preventive maintenance plans to improve equipment availability and reliability, and conduct audits and inspections for EHS and quality compliance.
• Manage the maintenance budget, track expenditures for parts and labor, order spare parts, tools and supplies, and improve spare parts stock and disposal of obsolete materials.
• Coordinate suppliers, negotiate contracts and supervise third-party contractors, escalating issues to E&M management and procurement.
• Support engineering projects with operative procedures and equipment/installation trials, and help define capital improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis with the implementation team to resolve chronic issues, and identify improvements to increase productivity.
• Oversee annual HR processes for the local maintenance team, work with Operations, E&M management and HR Business Partners to build a local talent pipeline, and run regular performance reviews with coaching.
