Maintenance Mechanic II - 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm)

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic II for a full-time second shift (3pm-11:30pm). The role suits someone with some mechanical knowledge and work experience who will work alongside entry-level and more experienced maintenance mechanics.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with air handlers, exhaust fans and in-room heat coils, seeking input from more experienced mechanics when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all hospital policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent required; trade school or related community college graduate preferred.
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience; hospital or industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, lift, walk and kneel for long periods, and to lift up to 75 lbs and push/pull up to 40 lbs.
• Corrected vision, normal hearing, and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Threshold requirements

• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, in-service and health requirements, including new employee orientation.
• TB/PPD surveillance program.
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification.
