Maintenance Manager - Distribution Center

About the role

HDSupply is hiring a Maintenance Manager for a complex distribution center in Kent. The manager leads operational excellence across the warehouse, keeps equipment running and maintains a safe, organized facility. The work is indoors, with occasional overnight travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence in all warehouse areas, including warehouse management systems and related equipment.
• Ensure inventory is received efficiently and processed safely, and maintain the layout and organization of warehouse areas.
• Manage repair, maintenance and installation of equipment so operations stay continuous.
• Source and review contractor bids, select contractors and ensure they meet standards.
• Review maintenance, production and quality control reports and statistics to plan and adjust maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safety culture by following safety policies, monitoring DC safety and physical security, and inspecting equipment and facilities.
• Coach, train and develop staff, give performance-based feedback and ensure technical certifications are kept up to date.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field; 5+ years in facilities maintenance management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; previous change management experience preferred.
• Ability to manage a team of individual contributors and supervise support staff; may require certification.
