Maintenance Manager - Anthem Row

About the role

Equinox is looking for an energetic, creative and reliable Maintenance Manager to join its team at the luxury club in Washington DC at Anthem Row. The main purpose of the position is to supervise the maintenance staff and all maintenance-related operations, ensuring the club consistently meets Equinox's standards for cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, coach and evaluate maintenance staff, and develop employees with potential as Maintenance Supervisors
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and 30-, 60- and 90-day reviews for new hires
• Require the Manager on Duty to attend monthly facility reviews and hold daily one-on-one meetings with each shift Manager on Duty
• Train new staff with customized, club-specific cleaning checklists and carry out cleanliness walk-through inspections
• Report to the AGM daily on open tasks, oversee deliveries and ensure adequate inventory of maintenance and locker room supplies
• Implement inclement weather procedures, know emergency procedures and keep up to date on key competitors' locations, facilities and equipment
• Assist in developing the annual budget for the Maintenance Department and perform other required projects

Required profile

• Proven experience in a commercial business or fitness setting
• Proven ability to hire, direct and train staff
• Knowledge of maintenance of mechanical, electrical and exercise equipment, and of janitorial cleaning products and OSHA standards
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Good financial management, problem-solving ability, honesty, diligence and a strong sense of urgency
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Legal right to work in the United States
