Maintenance Manager – $120k-$130k (DOE)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of our bakery‑equipment production facility. The role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership, budgeting and safety oversight in a fast‑paced food‑production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance department, including hiring, discipline and performance development.
• Assist the Director with budgeting, equipment replacement planning and periodic financial reporting.
• Supervise, train and guide a team of maintenance technicians.
• Develop and execute a yearly preventive‑maintenance schedule for bakery machinery, building systems and production lines.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimise production downtime.
• Monitor inventory, order parts and track energy usage for cost‑saving recommendations.
• Oversee installation, troubleshooting and repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, evaluating, troubleshooting and repairing bakery‑equipment and related production machinery.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics and computer‑control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Leadership experience with supervisory, hiring and disciplinary responsibilities.
