About the role
Savannah Technical College is seeking a part‑time Machine & Tool/CNC Technology Instructor to join its faculty. The instructor will deliver classroom and laboratory instruction, advise students, and support departmental initiatives. This position offers a flexible schedule that may include day or evening classes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, hands‑on lab sessions, and lesson plans for CNC and machine‑tool courses.
- Recruit and retain students through outreach and advising.
- Maintain classroom and lab environments, including inventory reporting and equipment upkeep.
- Collaborate with other instructional areas on projects and school‑wide planning.
- Provide registration assistance and perform duties assigned by the Dean of Instruction.
Required profile
- Associate degree or diploma in Machine & Tool with CNC background, or a CNC degree/diploma with verifiable machine‑tool experience.
- At least five years of recent, relevant work experience (within the past seven years).
- Strong written and oral communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Teaching experience at a post‑secondary institution is desirable.
