About the role
The Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the 4D Medical/Surgical and Telemetry Unit at Lutheran Hospital. This night‑shift position (11 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) provides direct patient care in a Magnet‑recognized facility.
Key responsibilities
- Perform accurate admissions, ongoing assessments, and discharges within defined time frames.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, applying the five rights of medication administration.
- Provide direct care, hourly rounding, and documentation of patient data.
- Collaborate with RNs on care plans, education, and patient‑family teaching.
Required profile
- Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.
- Current Ohio LPN license; BLS certification required within one year of hire.
- One year of clinical experience within the past three years, or recent graduation (within six months).
- Ability to meet physical demands of patient handling and work under stressful, irregular hours.
Required skills
- Medication administration.
- IV therapy (as required by Ohio Board of Nursing).
