Low Voltage Technician - Data Center Systems

About the role

Join a team that equips data centers and other critical facilities with reliable low‑voltage infrastructure. You will work on copper and fiber cabling, fire detection, life‑safety equipment, and audiovisual systems to ensure operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Pull copper and fiber cabling, make terminations, label runs, and complete cable certification.
• Install fire alarm components and life‑safety equipment, then test device operation.
• Assist with commissioning audiovisual installations to prepare them for operation.
• Read project drawings and route conduit and cable trays to match the layout.
• Perform continuity checks and certification tests, and maintain accurate as‑built records for each project.
• Coordinate activities with other trades while following OSHA, NEC, and NFPA requirements at active jobsites.

Required profile

• Practical low‑voltage installation experience, ideally at least three years; capable apprentices are welcome.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling under TIA/EIA standards.
• OSHA 10/30, NICET, BICSI, or fire‑alarm credentials are helpful but not mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift loads weighing 50 pounds and work on ladders or lifts.
