Long-term Production Planning Internship

About the role

This on‑site, multi‑semester internship with Airbus Helicopters in Columbus, MS offers hands‑on experience in production planning, engineering support, and operational scheduling within a leading aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the planning team with industrial project management, work order and BOM setup, and maintaining clear statements of work.
• Support manufacturing engineers in data collection, analysis, and creation of leading indicators for leadership decisions.
• Help maintain master production schedules, update project timelines, and generate detailed operational reports.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a 4‑year accredited program (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or related).
• Must be located near Columbus, MS for on‑site work throughout multiple semesters.
• US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. citizen, green‑card holder, or covered by existing ITAR license).

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP modules MM and PP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to interpret technical design data and create detailed work instructions.
