Logistics Transportation Analyst

About the role

The Logistics Transportation Analyst supports Bosch Charleston’s supply chain by managing logistics costs, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving continuous improvement across transportation activities. This role works closely with both Logistics and Controlling teams to provide visibility and control over freight expenditures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead logistics budget planning, forecasting, and month‑end closing activities.
• Analyze freight cost actuals, perform variance analysis versus budget and forecast, and explain deviations.
• Partner with management to drive cost‑reduction initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Serve as primary interface between Logistics and Controlling for monthly reporting and analysis.
• Support business plan and current forecast processes; develop and maintain reporting tools and KPIs.
• Review and audit freight activity across transportation modes and associated costs.
• Coordinate special freight requests, including quoting, tracking, and follow‑up.
• Act as main contact for inbound and outbound transportation topics and for Logistics Service Providers.
• Support export documentation (SLI, commercial invoices) and ensure customs and trade compliance, including CTPAT.
• Monitor and resolve unidentified freight issues, maintain transportation records, and implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
