Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Amentum, a contractor supporting NASA's deep space exploration work at centers across the United States, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join its teammate company, GCS. The role covers coordinating shipments, expediting material and parts flow, and managing supplies and inventory. The position is posted at multiple levels and depends on experience and business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with different locations and people to process shipments through the approved flows.
• Perform duties that expedite the flow of material and parts.
• Ensure supplies and inventory are ordered, received, replenished and kept at appropriate levels.
• Participate in creating new and standard part numbers.
• Monitor inventory levels against forecasted demand and inventory goals for common stock items.
• Take part in the disposition of non-conforming material.
• Arrange reservation and transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Deployment/Logistics Coordinator or Administrative Assistant.
• Working knowledge of supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
• Analytical ability to define problems, gather data and recommend actions based on established guidelines.
• Ability to complete a U.S. government background investigation; proof of U.S. citizenship or permanent residency may be required.

Preferred profile

• Bachelor's degree or business school training.
