Litigation Paralegal – Institutional Sex Assault Practice

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Litigation Paralegal to join our Institutional Sex Assault practice in New Orleans. The successful candidate will support attorneys in high‑stakes mass‑tort, class‑action, and individual lawsuits, ensuring meticulous case management and client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with potential and current clients to collect and update case information.
• Collaborate with attorneys and fellow paralegals on litigation strategy and case progress.
• Manage and organize large volumes of case‑related documents.
• Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence.
• Handle docketing, calendaring, and deadline tracking.
• File pleadings in state and federal courts and assist with trial preparation.
• Maintain accurate records in legal case‑management software.

Required profile

• Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
• At least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage a busy caseload.
• Professional and empathetic communicator with clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat and PowerPDF.
• Familiarity with legal case‑management systems (Salesforce experience a plus).
